$373.9 Million in Unreconciled Government Revenue (2018–2024)

Senate Probe: Concession Funds Not Reaching Counties
The Senate Joint Committee on Lands & Mines and Concession & Investment opened a formal probe July 14, 2026, into reports that concession funds reached government accounts but never reached the counties owed them — Grand Cape Mount cited as one example. MFDP, Ministry of Local Government, and LRA were summoned. Finance officials say the Local Government Fiscal Council, required to actually distribute the funds, still hasn't been formed.
